WEIGHT PROGRESSION

The competition follows a rising-weight format. After the starting weight, the log weight will increase by 10 kg at every stage.
The weight progression for each category will therefore be:

Up to 80 kg:
70 kg → 80 kg → 90 kg → 100 kg → 110 kg → 120 kg → etc.

Up to 95 kg:
90 kg → 100 kg → 110 kg → 120 kg → 130 kg → 140 kg → etc.

Up to 110 kg:
100 kg → 110 kg → 120 kg → 130 kg → 140 kg → 150 kg → etc.
Over 110 kg:
110 kg → 120 kg → 130 kg → 140 kg → 150 kg → 160 kg → etc.

The weight will continue to increase in 10 kg increments for as long as athletes remain in the competition.

COMPETITION PROCEDURE

Athletes compete within their respective bodyweight category.

Each category begins with its designated starting weight.

The athlete must lift the log from the starting position and complete the lift by bringing the log overhead into a controlled, fully locked-out position.

A successful lift must be clearly controlled at the top. The athlete must demonstrate full control of the log and maintain the final position until receiving the referee’s signal.

After the athletes have completed the current weight, the log is increased by 10 kg for the next stage.

The competition continues through progressively heavier weights.

An athlete’s official result is the heaviest log weight successfully completed.

RULES

EXERCISE

ACTION

NOTE

Log-lift for max

The projectile is on the floor. The athlete approaches the loaded projectile. At the referee’s signal, the athlete lifts it from the floor, securing it above the head (1 sec.).

Elbows and knees should be straightened, feet in one line. After the referee’s command, the athlete returns the projectile to its starting position.

The winner is the athlete who secures the max weight of log-lift in one repetition.

Belt loops.

Throwing the projectile behind.

Lowering the projectile not onto special mats.

In case of elbow joint injuries and inability to fully extend, the athlete must inform the judge before the attempt.

The step of increasing weight is 10 kg. After 4 athletes still in a round, the step is 5 kg or 2,5 kg.

Every athlete must take place in every attempt. If athlete loose his attempt, he is left competitions with fixed result.
