Стронгмен, як вид спорту в Україні був визнаний у 2012 році. ГО «Федерація стронгмену України» має виключне та пріоритетне право розвивати стронгмен на території України. За цей період часу українська збірна команда зі стронгмену багато разів очолювала командний рейтинг чемпіонатів світу та Європи, і велика кількість світових чемпіонів є представниками України.

   Але всі минулі, теперішні та майбутні стронгмени світового рівня обов’зково приймають участь у чемпіонаті України зі стронгмену.

Перша наведена вага –  для атлетів-аматорів. Тобто атлет може заявитись на одну із ваг, але спроба виконання на змаганні дається лише раз, атлет може вибрати тільки одну вагу, в разі невдалої спроби результат записується в протокол, як кінцевий! В нарахуванні балів перевага надається більшій вазі.

Use of adhesives.

The finish is considered achieved when both bags have crossed the finish line and the athlete’s entire body has crossed the finish line. If the athlete has not completed the task within the set time, the judges will measure the distance covered.

After the referee’s signal, return the dumbbell to the starting position on a special dumbbell cushion. The athlete who holds the dumbbell the most times wins.

Lift with both hands from the shoulder. The first throw of the projectile that does not land on the special cushion results in a warning, the second results in the repetition not being counted. The judge may move around the athlete to remain within the athlete’s field of vision. Атлет підходить до навантаженого акселя (штанги), бере його будь-яким хватом і випрямляється до повного розгинання тулуба і колінних суглобів, заводячи плечі назад.
